Nashville Officers hailed heroes

The Mayor of Nashville, John Cooper, has spoken highly of six Metropolitan Nashville Police Department Officers. The six officers took action, without hesitation, to evacuate buildings prior to an RV with explosives detonated on Christmas morning.

The six officers have been identified as Officer Brenna Hosey, Officer Michael Sipos, Officer Amanda Topping, Officer James Luellen, and Sergeant Timothy Miller.

The Chief of Police, John Drake, stated that the officers began to knock on doors and evacuate nearby civilians as a suspicious intercom was broadcasting that people needed to evacuate. Just minutes later, the broadcasting stopped and an RV rigged with explosives rocked the block.

The quick thinking of the officers resulted in no known casualties.
