Cop offers to pay dogs’ adoption fees, all dogs get adopted

Chesterfield County (VA) – A law enforcement officer in Virginia was on a mission, to help get dogs adopted at a local shelter.

Colonel Jeffrey Katz of the Chesterfield County Police Department said that he would pay for the adoption fees of three dogs if adopted by Christmas. The three dogs are named Sugarplum, Claus, and Holly.

In a Tweet on December 20th by Colonel Katz, he advised he was committed to finding the three dogs homes and would personally pay for their adoption fees.

Come December 21st, Colonel Katz Tweeted that the shelter was empty and all adoptable pets now have forever homes. He thanked everyone who helped and said “My heart is full; I hope yours is too!”
